Council Honors 

Leonard "Pic" DeFrain

Leonard "Pic" DeFrain was honored with an open house on January 1, 2020 in celebration of his 100th Birthday. He was born in Harbor Beach on January 1, 1920 and graduated from Harbor Beach High School. Leonard has served his community in many capacities. Several of these are 

  • Coach for 70 years
  • Member of Knights of Columbus
  • Member of Lions Club
  • Member of American Legion
  • Elected to City Council for 3 terms

The Harbor Beach City Council honor "Pic" for his many years of service to his community and for his long life and prosperity, and wish him many more.

COVID-19 HARBOR BEACH FACILITIES NOTICE

Due to the Covid -19 virus outbreak and the concern for safety for our residence and visitors scheduling for the following recreational amenities and events in the City of Harbor Beach will be as follows:

All City sponsored events April 1st to May 15th are cancelled. The situation will continue to be assessed, and this date may be extended.


COVID-19 NOTICE for CITY RESIDENTS

March 23, 2020: The Governor of Michigan has issued Executive Order 2020-21 (Covid-19) Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. Due to that order the City of Harbor Beach has implemented some policies and procedures to insure essential services are provided uninterrupted to our residence and at the same time keeping our team members safe.  Some things you need to know:

·         Water and waste water service will continue as normal.

·         Recycling and garbage pickup will be conducted on the normal schedule.   

·         Any payments must be mailed in.  The drive through will be closed until further notice.

·         If you have something that you need to have addressed please go through your normal channels.
